Volunteering opportunities in the Manifold Valley with other organisations
In addition to river monitoring and the Nature in Your Neighbourhood project, there are a number of other ways to volunteer to help nature in the Manifold Valley

Himalayan Balsam Pulling
Peak Park Conservation Volunteers would love you to join them in helping look after the biodiversity of the Manifold Valley by removing Himalayan Balsam - no experience required!

Be part of a group making a huge difference, protecting and improving the biodiversity of the area

Volunteering with the National Trust
A small group of ManifoldCAN volunteers braved the very cold, wet weather in February 2026 to help the National Trust plant hedges in Grindon, helping create vital wildlife corridors in years to come.
ManifoldCAN hopes to continue to support National Trust conservation activities in the Manifold Valley, so if you'd like to help look after and create new wildlife habitats, watch this space!

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust
